Back in March, Chicks Vic and Mer treated themselves to a Philadelphia Chocolate Tour after running a 5k.
Mayhaps you remember reading about the snowy run and the delicious tour in Philly. Despite the weather, we had chocolate and when we have chocolate, we are happy campers!
The good people of the Philadelphia Chocolate Tours thought that our readers would enjoy checking out the sights and tastes of Philly and generously offered up two gift certificates for free walking tours. (See, that’s sort of work out related. Plus, there’s health benefits associated with chocolate!)
Since we know that chocolate is always better with a friend, we’re keeping the pair together.
Grab your bestie, grab your significant other, grab a group and split the difference of the remaining tours, grab a stranger (just make sure they’re consenting to all this grabbing) and try your luck at our Scoot a Doot Philadelphia Chocolate Tours giveaway! Encourage them to sign up, too, and increase your chances – woohoo!
This giveaway starts today, May 9th, and goes until midnight on May 14th.
What’s your favorite type of chocolate? And do you consider white chocolate to be chocolate? This is a very pressing matter!
This sounds so fun! I was never a chocolate fan until AFTER having my children. Turns out I was missing out on something pretty fantastic! I recently tried a dark chocolate with cayenne pepper. Oh my. It was delish! That little kick from the pepper paired perfectly with the dark chocolate. I am not a white chocolate fan. Something about it just doesn’t taste right to me. Perhaps I’ll be the random winner of this giveaway and can be convinced otherwise about white chocolate.
Oh yes! Some of the chocolates on the tour have things like cayenne pepper or sea salt mixed in. SO tasty. Good luck, Kate!
Chocolate is awesome. ๐ White chocolate is not technically chocolate but that doesn’t mean it isn’t yummy!
Ah, so you’re a white chocolate fan, Audra! You are a rare breed around here. Best of luck.
I like chocolate in all forms (sweet tooth? Me? Nah!). However my favorite is dark chocolate. Definitely.
Mmmmmm, dark chocolate! I have to say that all these chocolate comments are making me want to go on another tour. Which is never a bad thing. ๐
My favorite type of chocolate is ganache! So rich and decadent. White chocolate NOT A CHOCOLATE AND NOT A FAN!……sorry I just feel strongly about this…
Tell us how you really feel, Jen! ๐ Good luck to you!
What a cool group! Thanks for stopping by my blog!! I’m not a fan of white chocolate either – can’t wrap my head around it… ๐
Hey Mar! Loved reading your Pittsburgh recap – it’s a race that I’d love to check out someday (ah, the ever-growing race bucket list!). White chocolate doesn’t seem to have a lot of fans, does it?
Thanks! I really enjoyed it. Definitely a must do! Ah, yes – the ever growing race bucket list…
Loved your Pittsburgh half recap! Congratulations on your PR! My running partner and his daughter ran the marathon on Sunday and said the weather was perfect! I ran it last year, but was overcome by heat (not pretty) Here’s a link to my run – http://scootadoot.com/2013/03/04/when-a-race-goes-horribly-wrong/
By the way, I don’t like white chocolate either.
Thank you! I’m going to check it out now ๐ Yes, the weather was absolutely perfect. I ran it last year too and remember that awful heat.
Fave chocolate? Dark. Hands down. The darker the better.
White chocolate? OUT IMPOSTER! … but seriously, what’s the point?
Mmmmmm, dark chocolate! They definitely do dark chocolate samples on the tour and they are delicious (we bought extras because who can resist?).
Ha! Poor white chocolate! I’m sure someone likes it but is probably scared to say it. ๐
Kyle, I knew we were kindred spirits. There are a lot of great dark chocolate samples on the tour. And Iโm still drooling over the (still-warm) cookies from the first stop.
Dark chocolate, but not to dark. With a hint of orange/lemon/lime. I just enjoy a chocolate that is a little bitter sweet.
I consider white chocolate a fraud. It doesnt have any actual choco in it, its just cocoa butter. Also whenever I eat it, it has this overly sweet tinge and taste. But in the end, I suppose it isnt bad to have imposter in the bunch. It gives chocolate a trifecta rather then a duo
Very nice – I like the hint of a flavor in chocolate too. Just can’t be too overpowering!
I had a white chocolate bark on this tour that wasn’t bad at all. I think I just preferred the milk and dark samples more. But I’m not picky, I just love chocolate. ๐
XD Chocolate is chocolate and yummy. Ive just had some bad white chocolate that rather ruined it for me. Nuts is good as well. I love those smackem chocolate oranges.
White Chocolate, while delicious, is not chocolate. I will fight this to the death ๐
Ah ha! Someone who says that white chocolate is delicious! (Even if it’s not chocolate.) ๐
Does chocolate-covered toffee count? I hope so. If not, Kinder Surprise eggs (which involve something like white chocolate – delicious!).
YES it does! Chocolate is involved, therefore it certainly counts. There’s a chocolate scrapple on the tour. Not kidding. Its beyond tasty.
Sure it counts! And I LOVE KINDER SURPRISE EGGS! I was first introduced to them by a friend in college. ๐
tell me more about these Kinder Surprise eggs… I feel like I should know about them!
They’re chocolate eggs and hallow, and they have a TOY inside of them! They were great fun to play with (granted, I was usually drinking a bit when we broke the Kinder Eggs out but STILL!).
oh that DOES sound like fun!
